Offered is a most pleasing silver Denarius struck at Rome under the reign of Emperor Elagabalus in 220AD, Sear#7533, RIC#28, BCMRE#179, RSC#154. This piece depicts Sol advancing left, with whip, surrounded by the inscription PMTRP III COS III RP, star in left field. This example in excellent condition, with some luster, a good portrait, and an excellent reverse.
