This piece features Fortuna enthroned, holding rudder & cornucopiae, inscription PMTRPCOSVIPPSPQR on the reverse, as well as the Emperor’s laureate and draped bust, surrounded by IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC. This example displays good centring on an an even plachet, and further benefits from an old gunmetal patina which lightens on the devices. In all, a very wholesome example, and a good portrait coin.
