Offered is a lovely 1811 silver 1/- token, issued by a group of Bristol merchants to ease a lack of this denomination in trade, Dalton#23. Although one of the more frequently encountered Shilling tokens of this period, this example retains good detail, and a lovely grey-lilac patina. In all, an attractive example of a popular type.
