Offered here is a pleasing example of the extremely sought after Boer War Service, or ‘South Africa’ medal. In very solid, original condition, this particular example bears an unusual 4 service bars, as well as the edge inscription ‘7324 Pte A. STRAND. EAST KENT REGt,’ making this an attributable and researchable piece.
Although without ribbon, this piece has a superb patina, and remains in excellent condition, with no indication of repair or alteration.
