Offered is a very pleasing, all-original 1772 Halfpenny, issued under the reign of King George III, with this example being the reverse A type, KM#601. Although this example is not ‘high-grade’ per-se, it is a choice example owing to its clean fields, and wonderful, rich mahogany patina. Of note is that these also saw extensive use in the 13 colonies. All in all, a most collectible specimen of a sought type.
