George V 1918 Penny - High Grade

Offered is a flashy 1918 Tower Mint 1d, issued under the reign of King George V, KM#810. Although a high mintage year, this example retains considerably more lustre than is to be expected of this date / type. Interestingly, this piece displays weakness of strike in Britannia on the reverse, but no traces of the ‘ghosting’ which is so common on Pennies of this period. A cracking example.
