Omega Seamaster 500 ca. 1950-52 Men's Automatic Wristwatch

$495.00
sold out

Offered is a rare, early Omega Seamaster 500 series automatic mechanical wristwatch, dating from the very early 1950s, before the adoption of the ‘Seahorse’ emblem. Being in completely original condition (save the crown, which has been replaced), this refreshingly vintage timepiece even retains it’s original leather band with signed buckle. The cal. 500, 17 jewel movement is keeping perfect time, and the the rotor zips freely the full 360 degrees.

The case and crystal, although showing signs of wear, remain attractive and problem-free, while the original, 2-tone dial shows only very minor aging. These facts, together with the ‘beefier’ stainless cases of the 1st generation Seamasters give this 34mm watch a good wrist presence, while also remaining a comfortable daily wearer.

Owing to rarity of these early Seamasters, and the incredibly original condition of this example, this watch would be perfect for the specialized collector or Omega enthusiast.
