Offered is a pleasing Smiths wristwatch with date function from the 1960s in superb original condition. This Welsh-built timepiece from the company that famously conquered Everest alongside Rolex is a very pleasing example, with brushed champagne dial and red ‘pointer’ seconds hand.
The 34mm diameter chrome case is in well above average condition, and the stainless back bears only very light abrasion. The crystal shows a few marks, and the movement / gaskets are both immaculate. This hand-wound piece keeps average time for its age / manufacture (5 min or so a day variance).
