Offered is an interesting 100 Mark note from the 1910-dated issue, with this example bearing a very unusual obstruction error over the shield on the reverse, PICK#42var. Although impossible to ascertain with certainty, it would appear that the cause was a small piece of thread or fiber which was deposited between the underprint and second pass. Very appealing overall despite a closed tear at right.
