Offered is a superb example of the 1918-dated Darlehnskassenscheine 20 Mark note, PICK#57. Interestingly these notes were issued by the Reichsschuldenverwaltung (Reich debt administration), and although they were not technically legal tender, they had to be accepted by all public institutions. Technically backed by loans on industrial and agricultural goods, these notes saw ready circulation in Germany until 1923.
Altghough not a rare type, it must be said that truly uncirculated examples such as this one are something of an ask. This note in superb overall condition, with only some minor off-centering keeping it from a 65. A wonderful note.
