Offered is an illusive 1960 issued transitional issue from the French dependency of Saint Pierre et Miquelon, PICK#30b. Emerging from the re-denomination of the French Franc (used on the islands) owing to rampant inflation at the end of the 1950s, this note was actually imported from Reunion before being overprinted, so as to stem a shortage of the popular 1f denomination. Although heavily circulated, and bearing some holes / edge dings, this piece retains much good detail and colour.
