Offered is a lovely 1625-42 Tower Mint hammered Shilling of King Charles I - Group F (cross over square-topped shield), bust 3 (smaller, large letters of value), MM Tun, Spink#2796, Brooker#515, North#2229, Francis#4b, Hawkins#4/3. This piece exceptionally nice, being of full weight, on even planchet, and displaying no clipping. Some requisite weakness of strike, but retaining fantastic detail for the issue both reverse and portrait. A lovely example from a very desirable reign.
