Bilston (Staffordshire) 1811 Rushbury & Woolley 1d Token - Davis#30
Offered is a scarce 1811 Rushbury & Wolley Penny token, Davis#30. These are generally found heavily circulated and with extensive PMD, while this example retains much original detail, as well as an original mocha patina on the obverse, which gives way to an attractive ‘palmed’ deeper tone on the reverse. An attractive example of the type, with a lovely depiction of the Royal Exchange.
