Offered is an example of the ever-popular ‘Sir Isaac Newton’ national series Halfpenny token, D&H#1035. A sought type, this lovely example retains excellent detail, as well as an even ebony patina. Interestingly, nearly a century earlier, Newton had been Master of the Royal Mint, and much of his purview was given over to combatting irregular coinage - an interesting consideration considering his depiction on this private issue. A very appealing example.
