Offered is an interesting 1811 copper Halfpenny, issued by the British Copper Company at Walthamstow in Essex, Withers#594. Although not a rare type by any means, this example bears weakly struck inscriptions, as well as a prominent die clash at the right of the portrait. A lovely ebony patina rounds out this handsome example.
