Offered is a scarce ESSAI strike of the independence commemorative 50 Franc coin, issued by the Comoros in 1975, KM#E6 (as KM#9). This trial piece is as struck, and housed in it’s original ‘tricolor’ pouch - any apparent imperfections are reflections from / scuffs on the plastic package and not the coin itself. Interestingly, this piece features the ‘lesser arms’ of the Comoros, which was changed for the final, circulating version.
