Offered is a scarce and desirable Palestine Service Medal (Medalyet Falasteen), instituted in 1950 for service in the 1948-49 Arab-Israeli War. This type being from the royal period, was only issued until 1953 bearing the portrait of King Farouq. A fascinating piece retaining its original ribbon (albeit a bit tired).
