United Kingdom 1913 Daily Mail Trophy Competition Silver Shooting Medal

€105.00

Offered is a splendid 1.548oz / 43.87g, 44mm sterling silver medal awarded to the winner of the Daily Mail Trophy shooting competition in 1913. The piece is hallmarked for Daniel George Collins, Birmingham, and was designed by Lilian Vereker Hamilton (1865-1939). From our research, it would appear that the design was only in use between 1910-13 before being replaced with smaller medals of completely different design. In all, an impressive medal of handsome design which is fantastic in-hand.
