Poland-Lithuania (Lithuania) 1492-1506 Silver Denar

€25.00

Offered is a 13mm silver Denar (also sometimes referred to as Dinar or Denier) issued under the reign of Alexander Jagiellon for use in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1492-1506, GUM#471, Kopicki#3120. This ‘gothic letter A’ type example, although displaying some typical weakness of strike, remains a most presentable specimen. It is worth noting that these are seen far less often than their equivalents issued for the Polish lands.
