Offered is a copper AS, or unit issued under the reign of Emperor Nerva (r. 96-98AD), minted at Rome in 97AD, Sear#3061, RIC#95. This piece displays the ‘CONCORDIA EXERCITVVM’ reverse, depicting clasped hands. The obverse is of the type C variety, displaying the inscription ‘IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR P COS II.’
Although worn, this fully attributable piece bears good remaining detail, as well as a wonderful, rich original patina. All in all, a pleasing coin from a scarcer reign.
