Austria 1973 Silver Commemorative 50 Schilling
Offered is a fine .900AR Austrian 50 Schilling, issued to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Bummerlhaus, KM#2916. The 13th century structure is still standing, and is considered the finest piece of secular medieval architecture in Austria. It’s name is derived from the word for a small, plump dog, as the residents of Steyr used to mock the depiction of a lion which once graced the arms of Bummerlhaus during it’s time as an inn.
