Lucerne Ca. 1972 Men's 'Diver' Mechanical Wristwatch

$100.00
sold out

Offered is an expressive early-mid 1970s men’s Lucerne ‘dive watch’ on period stainless ‘Tissot PR-style’ bracelet. Lucerne operated out of NYC producing fashion and novelty watches from imported Swiss parts - with this piece being a typical chrome-case / 1-jewel manual wind example. Although we generally do not offer such pieces, this example is simply exceptional for the type in every way, making it a fun and remarkable piece.

The 36mm (42mm lug-to-lug) case is in well above-average condition for chrome of this period, and the mechanical movement and date function both work perfectly. The rotating bezel moves smoothly, with colours remaining bold throughout. For its part, the 2-tone dial is in immaculate condition, displaying great lume accents. In all, a really great piece of 1970s design, and a bold statement piece.
