Offered is an example of a copper ‘emergency’ or ‘Goertz’ Daler, Jupiter type, KM#357. The 10 different copper coins of this issue were issued over the period of 1715-18, and were essentially state issued tokens intended to be redeemed for proper silver specie at the end of hostilities. Today, the series is a very popular set with collectors. This example, although improperly cleaned, retains decent detail.
