Offered is a very unusual ‘lines’ issue 1841-51 2d, being a fine used, 4 margin example of the ‘deep, full-blue’ shade, SG15. This stamp bears a ‘void upper right Maltese cross’ variety, as well as dots adjacent the lower plate position letters. Plate 4 (of which this is an example) was used extensively, and as such, it would appear that this progressive flaw is as a result of wear - this particular item displays a very advanced state of the variety. A scarce oddity for the specialized collector.
