George III 1819 LIX Sterling Silver Full Crown
Offered is a delightful 1819 Crown bearing ‘LIX’ edge lettering, struck in sterling silver (.925AR), KM#675. While the obverse of this piece presents a crisp strike and flashy fields, the reverse has unfortunately at some point been polished. Overall, this remains a very attractive and high-grade coin, retaining great detail, and sporting a gunmetal grey patina, which betrays lovely underlying lustre on the obverse, with hints of aubergine and blue peaking through near the devices.
