Offered is an interesting 1844 1/2 Farthing displaying the sought ‘E’ over ‘N’ in ‘REGINA’ variety, KM#738. Although initially struck for use in Ceylon, unforeseen domestic demand led to their being declared legal tender in the UK in 1842. This example retains good detail, but has been cleaned on the obverse side.
