Austria-Hungary 1866 A Silver Florin
Offered is a wonderful, high-grade 1866 A (Vienna) Florin, issued for the Austrian partition of the Empire under the reign of Franz-Joseph, KM#2220. Although these were generally well-struck coins, this example displays frosty devices and mirrored surfaces indicative of both a superior flan and a new set of dies. An exceptional example which we have chosen to leave with light original tone (rather than bringing it back to the blast-white that it has the potential to be).
