Offered is a rare first day cover featuring the 1917-issued ‘Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand’ commemorative issue, cancelled at Sarajevo (28 June 1917), SG413-15. Of note is that this piece features genuine postal cancels in black rather than the more generally encountered favour or retroactive cancels in red or from fieldpost cancels. Some vertical creases not affecting the stamps, but otherwise problem-free and most appealing.
