Offered is a striking double perforation error on the 1900 provisional 2d on 40l Hermes definitive (Belgian clear print), SG129var. Gibbons notes that many pairs were issued imperf between, so this may have been a botched attempt at rectifying such anomalies in other rows, or it may also relate to the favour perfs being applied by the postmaster at Athens around this time. Either way, an interesting error in lightly mounted mint (mint light hinge) condition.
