Offered is a charming silver ‘Ducat’ in the style of those struck in Naples under the reign of Louis XII, graded by NGC as AU-53, MAZ#2226A. These pieces were stuck in a variety of metals by the Paris mint for the purposes of testing different alloys, and were subsequently sold as souvenirs to visitors of the mint.
