Offered is a 13mm Akce issued under the reign of Khan Mengli I Giray, some time during his second or third reigns (1469-75, 1478-1515) over the Khanate of Crimea. Although crudely struck (as typical, and likely indicative of pieces struck toward the end of his second reign), this piece retains pleasing detail, and has been attributed by / graded by NGC as VF-30 (roughly Good Fine). Interestingly, the Suleiman Mosque in Istanbul is said to have cost 59 million Akce to complete.
