Offered is a lovely medal originally issued by the Swedish Royal Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1827, Hildebrand#77a.5 (1955 restrike from original dies). This 31mm, 13.51g silver piece features the draped and cuirassed bust of Karl XIV Johan right, as well as a farmer with two oxen ploughing right, STUNDANDE SKÖRDAR MÖDORNAS LÖN above. Proof-like devices set off the relief nicely against mirrored fields. Some discolouration on the reverse.
