Mortima 1970s Men's 'Diver' 21j Wrsitwatch
Offered is an ever-popular French made Mortima 21-jewel Super Datomatic men’s ‘dive’ watch. This expressive, manual wind 40mm piece represents what is probably Mortimas most popular and sought model, with this example being in good overall condition for the type, and completely original, even retaining its original 'magnifying crystal (very unusual).
Mounted on a brand new black leather band, this hefty watch features a chrome case, which despite some discernible wear, remains in well-above average condition for a Super Datomatic diver, which are generally found quite battered. The original crystal bears some abrasions consistent with age, but by no means egregious. The funky green and blue dial is immaculate, and the ‘pointer’ hands retain all of their lume. The rather modestly finished movement is working and accurate. Although not one of the flashier 70s divers available, this represents a bold and immanently wearable vintage timepiece.
