Solid Gold 1920s Cushion Case Watch With Textured Dial

$500.00

Offered is a characterful 9k (.375 AU) hinged cushion-style men’s wristwatch from the mid-late 1920s. Equipped with a well-finished 15 jewel Swiss movement, this all-original piece also features Art-Nouveau hour markers, sweep-seconds, and blued-steel hands. Although only 29mm in diameter, the shape and construction of the case give this piece the wrist presence of a larger timepiece.

Running perfectly, and being in excellent aesthetic condition (with the exception of some crazing to the crystal), this watch is on a brand new leather ‘trench style’ strap, which can also be converted to a normal 1-piece band for dressier occasions.

Although gold cushion case watches of this period are generally available, they rarely show the fantastic period styling cues that this piece presents. An exceptional example of the type!
