Offered is a most unusual 1949 pair of die proofs for the 20 Cent Arthur Barclay issue, from the first ‘Presidents of Liberia’ set, as SC324. E A Wright, as the printer, appears to have retained a considerable amount of production material relating to their printing of the issue, which emerged in the late 1990s. Thusly, we have an interesting and affordable oddity from an underrated country.
